You know how I wanted Clary to not be a useless protagonist who always needs saving? Well, it looks like she's not going to be. Simon on the other hand...well, he needs some saving.
I have mixed feelings about Clary. Do I like her character? Do I find her annoying? Well, the answer to these questions are both yes. She's brave and all and is willing to risk her life to find out the truth, and that's commendable. The only thing that really annoys me is how she's always talking about saving someone! First, it's her mom. Now, it's Simon. She won't shut up about it! "Simon? Where's Simon? I have to save Simon!" Okay, Clary, we get it, you want to save Simon. You don't need to say it excessively. I mean, there's nothing wrong with wanting to save your best friend. It's just that Clary needs to stop being so whiny and weak. Learn how to kick some a*ss, girl!
Well, anyway, we find out in this episode that Clary is Valentine's daughter. Wow, I'm so surprised! (I'm not really surprised. It isn't that hard to believe. It actually makes a lot sense how story heads in that direction.)
