Yes—Awkward is back (and on a Tuesday...)! I've been waiting forever!
I'm a little sad that this is the last season though, but I'll be outraged if Matty and Jenna don't end up together.
Right now, they're broken up. Something happened between them during their freshman year in college—something bad—but nobody wants to tell us what happened. The curiosity is killing me! It must've been something really terrible because our favorite couple HATES each other. They bite each other's heads off at a high school reunion where Matty debuts his new girlfriend... Ugh, why a new girl?! I just hope Jenna didn't cheat on Matty again.
College has really changed most of the characters. Tamara and Sadie are new BFFs, and it's a little awkward since Sadie and Jenna still dislike each other. Lissa is the Hamilton's nanny, and she's dating Jake again. Yay! I loved them together. Speaking of Jake, he has this new job at a country club. Well, I think it's a country club. Sergio has moved on from Sadie with a new girlfriend, and Sadie isn't too happy about that. Yeah, a lot has changed over the one year time-jump. A lot that does not include Jenna.
Why, Jenna, why! Jenna has barely changed. I think she even became more annoyingly awkward...
She's become some sort of hippie-type, who has a freaking nose piercing. Also, Luke's back in the picture. Gross. I never liked him. He is so not as cute as Matty. I mean, sure, Luke and Jenna have more in common, but Luke's so ehh. #TEAMJATTY
Well, overall, the episode felt so short. I hate how it's only 20-something minutes! I need more Awkward!
