It's Thanksgiving time and Gerald wants this Thanksgiving to be special for Edie. He doesn't want to sit around in front of the TV eating in his PJs like he's done for years with Sara. However, Jimmy has a hard time understanding holiday spirit until he meets Bruce.
Bruce was "like a dad" to Gerald. Even more impressive, he's a engineer for NASA and part-time Paul Bunyan, chopping up that wood. Funsies! Of course, this makes Jimmy jealous, who decides to stay longer to out-do Bruce, but Bruce can do no wrong: he can even play football (how American!).
Jimmy's jealousy is worsened when he find Sara and Bruce kissing. Tis' the season, right, folks?
Even though Jimmy acted stupid, Gerald still wants him to stay. Ahhh, Gerald is such a softie for family.
And at that end, HAHAHAHA! Nice tan line, Jimmy's model friend!
