This is the very book that has the quasi suicide partner in its storyline. However, in this book, the partner is a website, well forum really, that gives you support to end your life. It is different, though, in that this book centers around Cody, whose friend Meg wanted to commit suicide.
In this book, we're presented with the knowledge that the person who wanted to commit suicide did and is dead. The person is question is Lex's brother and now she has to learn to live without her brother. This book is highly rated and has the suicide component to it. Also, it has a tragically beautiful title: The Last Time We Say Goodbye. The words are alone depressing. Sigh.
Like I said, the trend continues. This book is also about a guy, Theodore Finch, who wants to die. Apparently, he's fascinated with the idea of death and "constantly thinks of ways to kill himself." Morbid or what? However, Theodore meets Vivian Markey and she shakes up his world. (Doesn't this sound like My Heart and Other Black Holes?) Is this enough to make him want to live? I guess you'll just have to read and find out.
