PLL is back! And older than ever I might add. Five years has past since the last episode, and the girls have never looked better. Well, some more than others.
Let's start with my favorite: Hanna. Hanna's long hair is back! I think she looks so much prettier with long hair. I don't know why she ever went short! Five years out of Rosewood has done Hanna some good. She seems very well put together: Engaged and is seemingly very successful in the fashion world, living in European countries and all that jazz.
Spencer seems like she's doing very well too. Spencer is in politics and coincidentally, Mrs. Hastings just so happens to be running for state senate. I'm loving Spence's new hair by the way. It's very Spencer. Unfortunately, Spencer isn't seeing anybody new at the moment, but there is a scene with her and Toby. Maybe #Spoby will have a revival?
Aria looks the same. In fact, I don't Aria changed at all. Well, she does have a new boyfriend, but I think that's about it.
Emily didn't change much either appearance-wise. Personality? Well, you can tell she's different. She seems like she's going through a rough patch right now. It's like she's acting out, but not really. Did you see those pills in her bag? She might have a drug problem.
Now, last but not least, Alison. Alison did not change in the slightest. She looks exactly as she did "5 years ago", and her personality is exactly the same too.
I will point out that there's been a big change in Rosewood since the girls have been gone. Radley Sanitarium is no longer a sanitarium but rather a hotel complete with a lounge/bar area! The Radley. I have to admit, the name does sound pretty cool.
Overall, I thought this episode was very refreshing! Well, up until that police officer Lorenzo basically accused the girls or murdering Charlotte. Okay, he didn't exactly accuse them, but he told them not to leave town because they're going to be questioned. Old habits definitely die hard in Rosewood.
