Little kids. They do the darnedest things! For one, they bite each other. This is what happens to little Miss Edie at preschool and Sara gets a call about it from the school. However, due to their new millennial policies, the school prefers to deal with it internally so won't release the name of the biter to Sara, which enrages her.
Jimmy tags along is upset too. Nonetheless, he seems more upset with the fact that he isn't listed as one of Edie's emergency contact.
Being the crazy grandparents they are, Sara and Jimmy "volunteer" at Edie's school in order to try to get the kids there to reveal who "The Biter" is. Sadly, many of the kids speak nonsense except for one exceptionally intelligent yet deranged girl named Clementine. Clementine is a disturbing girl for wanting them to build a sandcastle so that she can destroy. But, hey, at least she has her facts straight.
However, that doesn't mean Jimmy heard correctly. He mixed up Alex's parents with Alexis' parents and ended canceling poor Alex's Disney vacation. At least, Jimmy was nice enough to send some anonymous tickets to Alex to fix his mistake. As for Alexis's parents, we are enlightened to find that Edie may have started it by spitting in Alexis's face. Like I said, kids do the darnedest (and most disgusting) things.
This happens all the while Gerald and Vanessa are developing a software together in hopes of pitching it to Kirk (Drake Bell), a very successful tech investor. It's a co-parenting app for parents like Gerald and Vanessa who don't live/aren't together.
It nice having a Drake & Josh reunion! I hope Kirk has more appearances in the future episodes!
Also, it was fun to see Sara and Jimmy scheming together. I could see their relationship about to cross an invisible line. Maybe next time.
