Blurb:

For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity: living in New York City, running her a new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia's gorgeous longtime boyfriend, Michael, managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course, Mia didn't need to consult her diary to know that her answer was royal oui.

But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: her grandmother has leaked "fake" wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is truing to force Mia's father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch. Can Mia prove to everyone else--especially herself--that she's not only ready to wed, but ready to tule as well?

Lisamentary:

When I first heard of this book, I was FREAKING OUT!!!! Literally FREAKING OUT!!! And why wouldn't I be? Especially when I thought that the series was over FIVE years ago!! I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. So much happened in this book and was everything I was looking forward to. Everything that I had hoped to happen since I finished reading Forever Princess.

Well, let's start with Mia!! Good ol' Mia. Five years have passed yet not much has changed about her. She's still the same girl, now woman, who loves people more than politics. She has the same friends and it was great to get glimpse into their lives now. We got to see Lilly, Tina, Lana, Boris, Perin, and Linh Su! The whole gang is back together!! We even get to see sad, sad J.P. whose life is just going downhill since the break up with Mia. That's what he gets for being a user! Karmaaaaaa!!!

It was nice seeing them and all but not as nice as seeing MICHAEL!!! Michael and Mia are soooo cute together!! They are all grown-up and better than ever together. Michael is still so great with Mia and always knows what she needs. Their engagement was very cute and it's great that Michael now feels worthy of Mia the Princess. Worthy enough to propose! YAY!!! And their engagement ring is the best!! The ring is a testament to how much Michael knows Mia. They, of course, get married, hence the Royal Wedding title. That's not until the very end though. Before their wedding, they get a little surprise!! Two actually!! (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.) This was a very exciting reveal. Mia and Michael are still the couple we grew to love in the last 10 books.

We also get to see Grandmère who everyone loves to hate. And Lars and Mia's mom and Mia's dad and Rocky too!! I'm glad Mia's mom and dad got together, but it was sad that someone had to die to make it happen. It wasn't that sad since it was barely mentioned yet still sad all the same.

There's also Mia's new half-sister Olivia. I don't know about you but I was really annoyed how Mia's just jumped on a limo and basically kidnapped Olivia. Way too impulsive, dude! You have to know where to draw the line and to keep things low-key, which when you read you know totally did not happen.

The plot was great and a lot happened and thank God for that. This may be the last book, like final, last book. But of course I'm already hoping for another book. Hope pulled through last time and I can only it will this time as well!! Fingers crossed!! Not much has changed about the characters and I'm glad for that. Otherwise, I would've felt that the book had lost its charm and I'd be so disappointed. Luckily, however, not disappointed is what I am.

Also, even though this is an "adult" book, it's really not that adult. Mia and the gang are adults now but nothing very adult like happened. Things were hinted with role-playing fireman and alien but nothing graphic in the least. I know that this is the first adult book of the series, but it's sad that they didn't keep with the cover theme of the last 10. Especially since this one came out in paperback originally! Besides that, isn't it such a pretty cover? Really caught my eye that nice, Tiffany blue color it has going on. Kudos to the cover makers!

A lot of loose ends were tied since the end of the last book. However there is still left: the future of Tina and Boris. I really want to know if they get back together!!! Of course, it is hinted but that isn't enough!! I want more! Also, I wanted to see more about the wedding and about their new life together. How they'll handle it!! Maybe in a few years Meg Cabot will make another one!

But for now, enjoy!!!!
