Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp).
It's been 6 years since the first movie, Alice in Wonderland (2010), came out. That's a crazy long. I can sort of remember what happened, but from the looks of the trailer, the second movie is barely related to the events of the first, so you probably don't even need to watch the first movie to watch the second. However, I always say, to get the full experience, you should watch all the movies in the series/franchise before you watch the new one—but if you don't, it's okay.
Well, the trailer isn't all too exciting, but I'll probably still watch it since I liked the first movie!
