I really like this episode! Reasons why? Well, Clary goes to an alternate world, and those are always so fun—they're always so different.
In this alternate world, there are no demons or shadowhunters, and everything is just peaceful. Valentine and Jocelyn are happily married, and the Clary of that world's life seems great. Simon is still Clary's best friend, but he's now dating Izzy, which is so cute! Alec and Jace both have super different personalities. They're way less brooding.
Ugh, things are not looking good for our Alec and Jace. Alec weakens their parabatai bond by using parabatai tracking. It weakens Jace at the worst possible time, allowing a demon to travel to the other world. Well, Jace and Clary defeat it with the help of the other Magnus.
When Jace and Clary go through the portal, the discover a shocking development...Jace's dad is still alive! (Apparently, he's supposed to be dead according to Jace?)
